Cut Down Your Calories

First, you need to do this to calculate your maintenance calories.

Suppose your maintenance calories is 3000 per day. To get shredded, you need to consume 2800 calories.

After every week, you need to cut down by 200.
Week 1 - 2800
Week 2 - 2600
Week 3 - 2400
Week 4 - 2200

Macro Balance

The next thing you need to do is to balance your macros. While cutting, take at least 1 gram of protein per body weight (lbs), 0.8 grams of fat per body weight. And rest you will get it from the carbs.

Take high protein diet throughout the week of your program. Cut down carbs by 20% every week. And fats by 20% on the alternate week.


Keep your exercise routine the same. You don't need to add more cardio sessions during your shredding program. You can do it just once in a week.

Keep a Track on Progress

You need to keep an eye on your progress. If you see that you are losing weight too fast, adjust your meal accordingly.

Remember in this, your goal should be to lose fat, not the muscle.
